There is nothing sexist about poker 770 holding an all ladies poker championship tournament, it is not the first time that something like this has been held and it will not be the last. What is the problem with it really? It seems that these days people will complain about anything and everything they possibly can no matter how good the thing that they are complaining about may actually be. Some people just like to complain. I think it will be a great tournament to watch. Will be good to see some more women coming into the game and enjoying the many benefits that come with it. If all goes well it will ideally get some more women interested in what poker has to offer which in turn could see some really good female poker pros in the not too distant future.

If people do not like this being a ladies tournament only because they claim that it is sexist in any way then maybe they should take a look at other places around the world and then decide what really is sexist. It is just a game, chill out. There are some places around the world where women are nothing more than a piece of property that a man owns. In some countries men can have many wives and have children with which ever wife or wives he wants. In some places a woman does not get to decide who she gets married to, a future husband is chosen by who is willing to pay the most for the daughter to the family. Some women are treated as nothing but slaves to their husbands, there to cook and clean and take care of her husband and to bear children and raise them so that his legacy will continue through his last name through his sons. Before you go carrying on that anything like this is sexist take a look at what else goes on around the world. This is just a poker tournament, nothing more, nothing less.

I have to agree with you that there are so many other things that go on in the world that are undeniably extremely sexist. I also don’t think that a poker tournament for women only can really be deemed as being sexist. They have plenty of tournaments for men only as well. The playing field is even. No one carries on whinging that a tournament is discrimmatory if it is only allowing people of a particular skill level to enter, and whilst you may be sitting there thinking that that is an entirely different situation all together it actually is not at all, it is the same thing just with a different subject. The true meaning of being sexist can be seen with women or men being stereotyped because of their genders, not from this poker tournament allowing only one gender to enter. There is a time when some people just need to back off and look at things from another perspective other than their own otherwise everything in the world will start looking sexist or racist or biased because you think it is in your own mind even though every one else around you does not have any problem with it at all.

`It is interesting how some people get the wrong idea so easily over things like these. I don’t see it as sexist at all. It is not as though they are saying that they are holding a womens only tournament because men can not play as good as women or women can not play poker as well as men can, if they had said something like that then yes it would be sexist, but only the comment would be classed as sexist and not the actual tournament itself. We need more women to start playing poker at a professional level. It has been quite some time since we have seen a heap of new female faces in the poker industry and it would be nice to meet some new female players for once. The tournament may not only open up the industry for more women but also may gain poker 770 with some more customers to their site so all around everyone wins. Why put a sexist label on something that is intended to bring fun and entertainment to people who enjoy the game? It is people like this who like to sit around and try to ruin things for everyone.

Lol some people just live to complain, that is all that there is to it. Some people do not surviv on oxygen, they survive or whinging about anything that they can. I would hate to be someone who has to live with someone like that. The tournament has already gained a lot of interest and anticipation and there will be many people keeping an eye on the event and following it closely to see just who will be making it to the tables of the world series of poker. Although i would love to win plenty of money by playing in online poker tournaments i would also have to say that i would have a hard time determining which prize would be better to win from playing these online tournaments, would i rather win the money or would irater win a seat in the world series of poker? It would be a very hard call to make i think. Poker is gaining in popularity with every year that goes by, probably more accurate to say that poker becomes more and more popular on a monthly basis, when events like the world series of poker and the world poker tour are taking place the game gets a huge jolt in popularity and that is just what this tournament will also do. Whether or not it is aimed at getting more women into the game does not matter but if that is the plan then i do believe that it will work.

It would be great to see a female poker pro player win the world series of poker for this year, it has been abit since we have seen a woman poker pro take the champion title and i think it is about time that we get to see it happen again. If i was in the position where i could win either a large sum of cash or a seat in the world series of poker from playing online poker then i would have to say that if i had not yet been in the world series of poker then i would choose the seat in the world series of poker because that is an opportunity that you cannot pass up if you have never experienced it before, and also the wsop gives you a chance to win yet even more money, but if i had been in the world series of poker before then i guess it would come down to how much money i had won upfront and if it was a significant amount then i would probably take the money instead and keep at it, maybe aiming to win a seat again the next year after plenty of practice and honing of my poker skills. I would enter this online ladies poker tournament myself if i thought i was good enough to take that step, but right now i know that i am not so let us just hope that they will be doing it again next year because i for one would certainly be interested in trying out for it next year.
