With the event having its very own currency to be used does that mean that people will have to purchase cash in this currency or will it be used as a sort of play money like you would use when play free for fun games of online poker? If people do indeed need to purchase the event money with real cash first then will they have a return policy on it? If not they may end up making a fair bit of money out of it really if for some reason it does not turn out all that it is cracked up to be, say someone walks into the place and purchases the currency for it for a total $300 real cash, walks in, it is not where near what they thought it would be and then they leave, will they be able to hand in the remaining currency they havne't used and exchange it back for their real cash or is it a once you buy it you are stuck with it kind of thing? Makes me think of an episode of the simpsons where homer buys a heap of itchy and scratchy land dollars only to walk in and find most of the rides and stores have a "no itchy n scratchy money" sign in front of them. Will be interesting to see the turnouts, should be a huge event.

Gambling, especially poker, is becoming more and more popular in Europe and this fair will only help to expose poker to more people and increase the popularity of the game even more than it already is. There are so many people who would love poker but don't quite understand the game and it is at events such as this where people can go to learn all about it without feeling any sense of embarrasment for not knowing about it in the first place and what a better place to learn than somewhere that there will be so many different poker enthusiasts?

You would have to think that the currency to be used at the fair is probably money that you have to purchase from the event by using your own real cold hard cash to buy it from them because if they are holding events that visitors can participate in and potentially win money then people would need to spend money to make real money otherwise the event would ultimately be ripping itself off wouldn't it? I mean if someone wins $100 in a game of poker and it is real cash winnings but they entered with the event money that they got for free then the event would be losing $100, where as if the person paid for the event money they used to play then the event would not be losing anything at all.

It is about time they finally got a great big poker event like this. Not only will this help to expose poker to the paris market but it will hopefully create some new recruits to the game who may one day become pros in the World Series of Poker. I wonder how much money they will end up making from this fair? And i mean real money not their own fair currency money. It should be quite a fair amount of cash that they make, it’s simple to work out really. First fair being held in an area equals excitement and hype and plenty of attention and advertising and media, plenty of excitement, advertising andmedia and hype then equals plenty of interest from the public, this then turns into plenty of public in attendance of the event, plenty of attendance then turns into plenty of money exchanging hands for the goods and services on display at the fair. Going to be a great event indeed and I for one will be making the trip to attend it.

The days that this fair will be running will coincide with the starting of the World Series of Poker. I wonder if the World series of Poker being on at the same time as this event being held will have any influence over the numbers of people who attend the "winner" gambling fair in paris. I think it may logically do so, people in paris and nearby will probably watch the world series of poker, find that their interest in poker is peaked by this and then decide to make their way to the gambling fair to find out more about it. It is good that they have made the dates of these events overlap, nicely played by the organizers if they actually intended it to happen that way.

About time they finally got some kind of event going in paris to help promote and basically advertise poker. It is not as though poker only has a small sized fan base following in paris or anything like that, it is just that we never really see them making and efforts what so ever to get more people interested in the game and the gambling industry full stop. I know lots of people who will not try something that they do not know anything about in the first place so for people like this these kinds of events and showcases are a perfect opportunity for them to go along and learn about something and get to see it first hand and try it out to see if they like it, otherwise they never will try it out no matter how interested they may be in it. It is just one of those things, you are more inclined to try something out if the chance to do so is sitting right in front of you rather than if you have to make any kind of effort to learn.

I think that anyone who is really interested in learning about poker and learning how to play poker would go out of their way in order to learn about it if that it what it took, i don’t think that people will be more inclined to learn if there is an event being held nearby or anything like that, they are more inclined to learn if they genuinely do have an interest in it in the first place. I think that is one of the things that makes the internet so great too, people just have to log on to start learning practically anything that they want to learn, it can all be found on the internet, if you wanted to learn how to speak klingon or however you spell it i bet you that you could probably do a search engine check for it and you would find some site that would be willing to show you how it is done.

I would have to put another idea foward in regards to whether people wanting to learn would travel to the event or not, i would have to say that if you do need to pay real cash in exchange for the currency that is going to be used at the event in order to participate in the fair in anyway that involves cash then this actually may deter some new comers from taking part, they may instead just stand back and observe rather than participate because if they were to participate in the games then they would have to use their event currency which is ultimately just using their real cash basically and therefore they will probably not want to go playing with cash when they are just starting out. I think that it will be fine though if the organizers have already thought of this and have taken steps to ensure this does not turn out to be a problem in the event and have made it so that there will be either free tournaments for the beginners to start off with or that the currency for the fair is free and does not need to be purchased for real cash.

Hmm maybe i should get to work and start telling my husband all about this wonderful fair, he loves poker and loves poker fairs and we are due for a holiday soon so maybe i can drop a few subtle hints to him about his fair and he may decide that he wants to go, i would go just for the experience of it, i am not a big poker player or anything like that, i understand the basics of the game and that is about it but i have always wanted to go to Paris and have never been able to be lucky enough to get there just yet. Now with this happening i am starting to think that i just may be in with a chance and that i may be able to pull it off after all! Paris here i come !!

Paris would be one hell of an experience and maybe i should follow in the footsteps that you want your husband to lead and take my wife to the poker fair, so that she can experience paris and i can get to go to a gambling fair, a great poker event indeed. This could work out nicely, she will be happy and i will be happy and she can always remember paris whenever i forget to take the garbage out and she gets mad at me lol. The fair should be a great place for anyone who either is experienced and enthusiastic about poker or people who are curious about the game but do not really know very much about it at all. I am sure that we could all go there and learn something no matter how good we are. I wonder how much money this gambling fair is costing them to orgaznise and hold?
