It is pretty unfair if they really have been doing these things to prevent others from getting into the gambling market in order to keep the monopoly for certain companies and such, that’s just bad business sense and everything else. If there is no competition that what incentive is there for the companies to strive to do the best they can for their clients? There is no incentive if there is no competition, no motivation for them. At least if there is a competitor to contend with then they will have to work a whole heap harder and do business in a much more fair way, when there is a monopoly they don’t have to do anything really, just sit back and rake in the cash.

Yes i am sure that the government could just tax all of these gambling sites that allow access to the site and allow for French players to play on the site but it would not be the solution really, some sites may just decide to keep not allowing French players to play on their sites, and others may just have a way around it, such as having “other” on their list of countries of residence for their customers to play on, this would just give players a place to select if the website does not list france on their country list, this way they could avoid playing the tax and the members from france could still play there, but i guess with most things around these days, people will always be able to find a way around something if they are really that determined to.

I wonder how much stalling will be done in an attempt to either get rid of this legalization or to at the very least slow it right down and cause as big a delay as they possibly can. They have got a good thing going at the moment, one that is bringing them in a fair amount of money too at that, so why would they want to just willingly give that up without contesting it at all? Of course they would not want to do this at all. It will be interesting to see just what ends up happening with it all really. Will they get rid of it all together or will the pressures and callings from the public get them to finally let it through and allow it to be legal? None of us can really say what is going to happen but i am hoping that it all works out because i think it will only do them good in the end.

No they will not go down without fighting it, that is too sure, they have a good thing going with it now and they are making money and they are in control i can’t really imagine anyone being in that kind of a position being ready, willing and happy to just hand the whole thing over to someone else to allow another company, or in this case multiple companies, to come onto the scene and compete with them, especially if they have a fear that a company may come in and muscle them out of the game. They have had full free solo reign over the industry for quite an extended period of time now and i doubt that they would want to give it away or have to be put into a position where they will have to fight for and compete for their cash and their customers. I can’t begin to imagine how much money they would have made over the years that they haven’t been in competition with anyone, they must have pretty big fat bank balances by now that’s all i can say.

No doubt really in my mind that there will be some people not only opposing it all but also making attempts to slow it down for as long as they are able to without making it too obvious what they are up to. It is amazing to hear that these two, France and Brussels, have been at opposite ends of the table over this issue for going on four years now though, just goes to show how set in their ways and opinions and dedicated to what they want both of them are, because neither of them has backed out or gave in to the whole thing. I think that they should just let it be legal and get on with it all. It is not as though they will lose a heap of money out of it, well at least the government won’t anyway, they could just tax any sites that allow their players couldn’t they?

It does not surprise me that there are delays in all of this, look at the amount of money that they would be making, i do not imagine any way possible that they would just want to hand it all over to other companies, no one is that selfless, especially when it comes to companies and governments that have some kind, no matter how big or small it is, of involvement in the gambling industry. I hope that it all goes through and is passed and permitted. Some competition in the industry would be a good thing, for those gamblers online and the online gambling sites at least, that will give them more variety to choose from instead of just being limited to particular sites.

They would not be too excited to give up the easy business that they have got going right now. I would not be either if i was them. They have it too easy right now, all they have had to do for all the years that have gone past, right up to this day, is sit back and just watch the money pour in, knowing that gamblers had no choice where to go to in order to feed their urges to gamble online and that is the way that they want it to stay, they won't just walk away with it and forget about it, no way. I am surprised that the french public never tried to take a stand against this and fight for a more fairer online gambling system than the one that they have now, but i guess it is all that they have ever known so they just put up with it.
