I already had it set in my mind that this coming year, 2010, is going to be an absolutely wonderful and eventful one in the world of poker. For those of us who are poker enthusiasts we will not be short of events to attend in this coming year. If i hadn't already had this frame of mind about the year to come i still would have been just as excited to read this, now that i have read this i am looking forward to next year and all the poker that is to come in it, im full of anticipation, so much to do, so much to see, so many things to enter and try to win and if not just experience in general. What a great year it is going to be indeed.

The coming year in poker is packed full of action and events already and we don't even know about all the events and tournaments that will be taking place in poker over the year. What a full on year it looks as though the poker industry is going to have. Couldn't happen at a better time though as slowly people are recovering from the global financial crisis which is strangely named really because not everyone in the world is being affected by it in a crisis state, some places are barely bothered by it at all. It will be interesting to see just how much money goes through the economy just from revenue and taxes from these poker tournaments, maybe they will finally consider allowing poker as a means to ease america out of recession.

It is great to know as a poker lover that even though 2009 is almost at an end and the last big poker event of the year is now over and done with that we will not need to sit around waiting for months on end for the next big poker event to be held with events such as this one being held as soon as febuary 2010. his is one of the things that seperates poker from many other games and sports. Whilst some people have to sit around and wait for quite some time for a big event to be held in their sport, those of us who are poker enthusiasts hardly have to wait at all with large events taking place every month in the world of poker and it is this and the increased popularity of poker that ensures us that 2010 will be an exciting year for poker.

I live in LA so i have been looking forward to this event for a very long time lol. Every time i cross a day off on the calander it still seems as though there are so many more dates to cross out before the action finally begins! I do work a lot and i never go into a casino or anything like that to play a few hands of poker, because of my work hours and the fact that i am pretty slack when i finally get home and i do not feel like having to go anywhere once i get in my front door i play all of my games of poker online. The only poker event that gets me off the online poker world is the LA classic. This year will be no different, i will be watching yet again. One day it would be nice to be good enough to be able to take part in it myself instead of watching it all of the time but until i can get some decent time off of work to improve my game skills i do not think that i will be good enough any time soon.

I don’t go to too many poker events in person through the year, i only go to about four or five for the whole year and the LA classic is one of the events that i make sure i go to. I don’t go to the big huge ones such as the world poker tour or the world series of poker because i can watch them on the tv at home instead so i prefer to go to the ones that aren’t such largescale poker events in person. This year it may all change though because i have been saving up plenty of money for a holiday and i am sure that my holiday will include a few stops to some great poker events so that i can experience some new ones that i haven’t been to before.

Well you will have heaps of poker events and tournaments to choose from for your holiday this year and that’s for sure. As if 2009 wasn’t exciting and jam packed enough as it was, 2010 is already shaping up to be even bigger and better, there are heaps of events and tournaments being announced every day and there is bound to be plenty more where those came from. It is great to see that poker is getting more and more popular each year that passes by, if it wasn’t that popular then we wouldn’t have all of these events and tournaments to look forward to during the year, we’d probably just have a few here and there and that is it and although you have to admit that some is much better than none at all it would still be a shame to not have all the wonderful tournaments through the year like we do now. All year round in poker there is always something to do, never an opportunity to be bored, not many games can boast that.

I went to the last LA Classic but sadly enough i will not be able to make it to the LA Classic for 2010 because we are moving town at the end of the month for work and after all the costs that are going to be incurred in moving i will not be able to afford to come back to LA for the tournament which is disappointing because i was really looking forward to it. Hopefully it will not take too long after moving though for me to find some kind of poker thing going on somewhere that is held a little closer to my new home, as soon as i find one consider me there lol. I love the atmosphere at poker tournaments, it’s such a surreal feeling i think, it is kind of hard to describe i guess. There are so many different feelings these tournaments can ignite in you that you just don’t know what to expect from yourself at these tournaments let alone what to expect from the players who are actually playing in them.

I have not yet been to one of these and i will not be going to it this year either but if it is as good as i have been told it is then i will definitely be making an effort to go and watch it next year if they are holding another one next year. I don’t get to go to many tournaments at all, usually just watch them on the tele because i have family members that i care for who need in home kind of care on an almost twenty four hours a day, seven days a week basis. I do have nurses that make housecalls and come and help out abit but it is mostly just me who is at home taking care of them. They love poker too so it is good to sit at home and sit down in my sitting chair beside their bed and turn the tournament on the tv and watch it together. Is this tournament on the tv as well? If it is then i will watch it. If it isn’t shown on the tv does anyone know if they have a recording of it anywhere online where you can download it or if they have the live feed on the internet or something like that, just some other way that we could watch it without having to attend the tournament in person?

Whilst the big tournaments are always shown on the television i am not sure if this one is or not lol even though i watch a whole heap more tv than i really should. It is a fun thing to experience in person though so i hope that one day you get to go an experience it for yourself. It is a feeling of excitement and nervousness and tension and suspense and fun that you get from being at these kinds of tournaments. There is so much going on and the hands are always really good and the action is nerve racking and there is no game that makes you feel better than a poker tournament does. I am going this year, i have been to each and every one of them so far and don’t want to miss any, i want to keep the tradition going haha and i will drag my wife along with me, she doesn’t like it but eventually she will like the game, it is only fair since she drags me shopping and it is my least favourite way to spend my day or my money.
