It does not matter how good or bad something is, there will always be people who don’t want it and dispute the whole thing, wanting nothing to do with it. I think that some people out there just like to have a good whinge no matter what it is that they are whinging about, it is just a way or life for some people. I know plenty of people who still gamble online even though they are not meant to, if some one really wants to gamble they will do it no matter what the law says about it, they will find a way to do it no matter how difficult they try to make it to access it. I think it is about time they got on the band wagon and allowed it in New Jersey. Will be a great way for them to make more cash and quickly. Gambling is one of the only industries that has not really been significantly affected by the economic crisis.

They are a little slow and late in starting this kind of thinking, i would have to agree. But on the other hand when you really think about it their timing is actually really good when you look at the current financial and economic status of most of the states in the country at the moment, this decision could not have come at a better time really. If they had already been doing this kind of thing then the economic status would remain the same as it already is, because the revenue earned from this would already have been spent and this would have left the state no better off than what they are now, but in this case however they have left it and only decided to try and get it up and running now, when there is economic strain but many people are still gambling therefore there is still plenty of money to be made, this could well and truly be a huge help for the state financially, allowing them to have money to build and organise all kinds of new things through the state which will then in turn create more jobs which will then help more struggling families, it all goes on better from there.

Well they sure are not wrong there, there is plenty of money to be made when it comes to online gambling, not just for the gambling sites and the punters but also for the government if they decide to legalize and regulate it. The taxes that they could be pulling in from this are really really big sums of money. I do wonder though what took them this long to finally come up with the idea in order to get more revenue? It is not as though online gambling is a new phenomenon, it has been around for a fair while now so it can’t be shocking to them or anything of that sort so i think that they are a little late off the mark in that respect but i guess as the old saying goes, better late than never. If they claimed just $5 tax from each gambling website for each player of that state alone who plays on their site i think you would find that they would very quickly start making a whole lot of money. Just how the gambling sites would react to this kind of thing though I am not yet sure of, i’m sure in a matter of time though their reaction will become apparent.

I don’t really think that it will be too big of a deal for the online gambling providing sites, yes on one hand it will cost them quite a bit of money but on the other hand it also will allow them to have players from that state legally and therefore probably increase the number of players at their sites anyway, I think that when you consider the amount of money these people are spending on online gambling and the money that the online gambling sites are making, the small percentage that they are considering taking in taxes would be no huge deal for them, it would barely make a dent in their pockets in my opinion. It will see alot more people being able to enjoy their gambling too, especially those who have to go a little bit out of their way in order to be able to place a bet or play a few hands.

Yes whilst some people actually do abide by the law and not gamble online due to the law not permitting them to, i don’t think that the majority of people actually do abide by it, i think that many people still gamble online whether it is legal in their state or not. I can see a whole lot of people not being in the mood to go out of their way to gamble in a casino or whatever so instead going online to do it, registering with false residential details if they have to i guess. They may as well legalise it, because gambling isn’t that bad a thing, and no matter if it is illegal or not to do it online there will still be people who will gamble online regardless.

I agree with the idea that making online gambling legal in the state will only serve to help improve the economy in the state, not hinder it or worsen anything for anyone, people can’t go blaming gambling companies, whether offline or online, for persons becoming addicted to gambling, a persons gambling addiction is one of their own making, not something that the gambling industry has directly caused. The problem in all of this is that there will still be people who are adamant about the gambling industry being evil despite the fact that they are not directly to blame for the plights of those who become addicted to taking a gamble, these people will oppose this act to legalize gambling which could cause a little bit of drama, but it is just like pretty much everything else, there will always be people who are opposed to it.

There is money sitting there and waiting to be made if they would just take a step and formally legalize online gambling. It is not as though there are no people in New Jersey who already gamble online anyway, most of them would just change their residential details when they register onto the sites in order to be able to play, and they can withdrawl via other methods that do not require anything to be sent out to them in the mail which is how they can get their money whilst registered as being in a different state or province without having to get it sent to that address, such as it would be if you had no choice but to get your money via checks.
