I really think that if the United States Of America legalized online poker at specific online gambling sites then they could make an astronomical amount of revenue from doing so. In example, if they required online gambling sites to pay taxes to the United States government in order for the site to be considered legal and for the site to accept gamblers from the United States of America and the sites paid an average of $100,000 a year in taxes for accepting US players and an additional 5% tax per deposit they accept from US players, with 200 sites signing up to accept US players and be legal sites, then that would equal $20000000 from annual tax for accepting US players alone and if there was a total of $20,000 of deposits on each site per year that would equal $4000000 in deposits which would equal $2000000 and although those are completely unrealistic figures which reflect no actual research etc they are certainly proof that there is money to be made and plenty of it.

I don't think that the government realises just how much additional money they could be generating for the country if they were to legalize online gambling and charge some fees, I think that in my opinion they could really help to bring the United States of America out of recession and ease the financial strain on the country by doing so, No of course it will not cause the recession to come to an end and it will not solve the financial troubles of the country and it will not make the country free of the defeceit but still it will bring a great amount of relief in regards to it all and will be a big help.

I think that they are onto something there really. Playing online poker isn't illegal over here in australia and whether or not there are regulations etc in place i wouldn't have the slightest clue lol but since it isn't legal in every state in america then i think that the legalization and regulation as well as charging of the online poker providers could be a huge opportunity to help to get the American economy back up on it's feet or at least a whole lot closer to being back on it's feet than what it is now, they should do it.

Introducing the legalization and regulation of online poker in the United States of America as a whole may not solve the economic crisis that is currently being experienced but it may help them dig themselves out of a very deep hole of financial debt that they have found themselves in, the same goes for other countries that are experiencing financial hardship and currently outlaw online gambling, they too could help themselves by taking these steps. There are plenty of things involving gambling that they could do to help ease the strain of the economic crisis, now we just have to sit back and hope that they do the right thing.

If done right then it very well could be an effective means of relief for the economic crisis that is currently being experienced by the United States of America, but if they don't do it right then they may very well make matters worse or cause damage to the online gambling industry and therefore as a consequence limit their possible revenues from the industry so they really do need to tread carefully and work out some kind of agreement that everyone is happy with, even the people who oppose onine gambling or just gambling in general.

Hey guys .. Really I agree to say that the regulation of online poker could be beneficial for the USA economy. Indeed, after the series of closing of companies, from bankruptcy of bank and the loss of thousands of employment, the economy of the country had more than suffered and the public revenues showed a notable fall. he poker is still regarded as a game of chance and not a play of address in the United States but much lobbyists rose in favour of a regulation of online poker and its legalization in a country where there are always more than tens million players who devote themselves clandestinely (in spite of prohibition in force) to this game

That is exactly what the article says. It should be done, it will help, there is no way that they could possibly deny that the legalization and regulation of online poker everywhere in the United States of America would be a benefit for the economy of the United states of america, if they were to deny it then one would have to question just what the motives of the government are and why they are turning down something which is sure to generate alot of financial benefits for the country. If it is ok for the people of the United States to walk into a casino in vegas or where ever and bet their cash and possibly win or lose and for the government to take taxes from these casinos then why not move on and do the same with online casinos?

The only problem there is when it comes to this is the people who are severely opposed to the gambling industry. These people do not seem to realise that the gambling industry is just like any other out there, they are there with one goal and that goal is to make money, just like the grocery stores, the gambling industry offers a service (gambling games such as poker and slots) for people to use for entertainment purposes or what ever they choose to use it for, and the consumers pay for it in return. The grocery store offers food at higher prices than what they pay for it and the consumer purchases it for an increased price in order for the grocery store to make a profit. They are doing the same thing, just dealing with different merchandise. Yes the gambling industry does use the weaknesses of some people but at the same time they can not and do not force any one to gamble, it is the individuals themselves who choose to gamble and it is ultimately their responsibility and their fault for losing their money, not the gambling industry.

There is a good liklihood that online poker could be a help for the economic crisis currently gripping the United States of America but as for it being an absolute solution i do not think so. They could make a whole heap of money out of it though and i don't see why they shouldn't try it out. There are always going to be people that are against the idea no matter what it is, that's just how it goes, i think they could really do alot with it. Can you imagine how much money they would be making if they were to legalize marijuana or even just legalize medicinal marijuana? If they allowed that and online poker then America would be out of the recession in no time, as would many other places around the world.

I can see how some people would be wary of this, being worried that family members and friends who are some what of a compulsive gambler may find themselves in more trouble if this is allowed in order to help the economy in the United States of America but i think that these people really do fail to realise that there are already many places online where these people can go to bet their money on poker and other casino style games and there is nothing stopping them from doing so right now, allowing this to help the economy is not a way of the government opening up the flood gates to a new wave of gambling addictions or more losses for those already addicted, For a compulsive gambler they will go anywhere and gamble, legal or not, if they want to do it they will do it no matter how much their family protests against it and this will not change anything if it is allowed.
