Poker meets golf, the reaction to tiger woods infedelity.

Postby DhD » Mon 14 Dec 2009 00:53

The world seems to be in a buzz over the current relationship woes and revelations of gold pro Tiger Woods, the poker community is no exception. The infedility, the car accident and other personal issues have all become public knowledge and whilst Tiger woods has been preoccupied with attempting to salvage what is left of his relationship with his wife (which probably isn't much after allegations of at least 12 women which he had extra marital relations with) by many public and personal apologies to his wife and his family, the controversy surrounding the golf star has seen much of the poker community amusing themselves by poking fun at the situation. Doyle Brunson, who has won the World series of poker bracelet 10 times, has been the leader of the online chatting about Mr Woods with many constant jokes about the golfing pro on his social networking site twitter feed under his user name @TexDolly. Mr Brunson usually spent his time on twitter posting numerous dumb blonde jokes but has recently turned his attention to jokes which relate to tiger woods.
Although they may be considered by some as being in poor taste, it is rather difficult for one to not have a good little giggle at the jokes about woods that Brunson has been posting. Jokes such as " Ping just made Elin an endorsement contract for a set of drivers to be named Elin Woods....'Clubs you can beat Tiger with.' " and more recently, in true holiday spirit, " Santa said, 'Ho,Ho,Ho'....Tiger said, 'Where, Where, Where.' "
Mr Brunson isn't the only poker player to be commenting on the troubles of the golfing pro. Full tilt poker pro Erik Seidel, Adam "akat11" Katz who is known for his online gameplay, Howard lederer, Alex Outhred and Scott Huff have also been putting their two cents worth in. Some of the poker community find themselves torn amist all of the poking fun because although they enjoy having a dig at the bizarre circumstances of Tiger woods life, they do feel that it is harsh for it to be revealed in such a public forum but with notoriety and celebrity status comes the media which you cannot escape, it is still up for debate if the media spotlight will dull on the situation any time soon, although it isn't likely to be over at any time soon with more revelations happening each day, one does wonder though how long it will take before Brunson tires of his tiger jokes and goes back to his dumb blonde jokes which have become something like a trademark of him.

Sorry but when it comes to Tiger Woods he is more than just a golfing pro at the moment, he is major cannon fodder for jokes with everyone making fun of his situation and jokes all over the place. Speaking of jokes, here's one i like.
Teacher: "Whoever answers the questions I ask, first and correctly can
leave early today."

Little Johnny says to himself "Good, I want to get outta here. I'm smart
and will answer the question."

Teacher: "Who said 'Four Score and Seven Years Ago'?"

Before Johnny can open his mouth, Susie says, "Abraham Lincoln."

Teacher: "That's right Susie, you can go home."

Johnny is mad that Susie answered the question first.

Teacher: "Who said 'I Have a Dream'?"

Before Johnny can open his mouth, Mary says, "Martin Luther King."

Teacher: "That's right Mary, you can go."

Johnny is even madder than before.

Teacher: "Who said 'Ask not, what your country can do for you'?"

Before Johnny can open his mouth, Nancy says, "John F. Kennedy."

Teacher: "That's right Nancy, you may also leave."

Johnny is boiling mad that he has not been able to answer to any of the
questions.

When the teacher turns her back Johnny says, "I wish these b***hes would
keep their mouths shut!"

The teacher turns around: "NOW WHO SAID THAT?"

Johnny: "TIGER WOODS. CAN I GO NOW?"

Here are some more short and sweet tiger woods jokes:

•Did you hear Tiger changed his name to Cheetah?

•Tiger's other women aren't misstresses. They're provisionals.

•Did you hear Nike's new motto? Just do me.

I can see where all of these people are coming from, i mean even if you do try to take the moral high ground and keep your peace about all of this and choose to not say a word in the end you will be sucked in and find a joke that you just have to tell someone else about because, well, let's face it, they are just plain funny

Haha yeah there are some great tiger woods jokes going around lately and im not ashamed of laughing at them or contributing to them, even though i really do feel sorry for his wife, i mean 1 time cheating is bad enough, 14 times though is just horrible and im surprised that certain parts of his anatomy weren't cut off and left beside his face on the pillow for when he woke up in the morning, ladies have done it over much less than 14 women. Anyway i heard one that went
What is the difference between santa claus and tiger woods?
Answer= Santa stopped at three ho's

Tiger woods put himself in this position and deserves every thing that comes at him. Now he has continued his relationship with one of the women apparently and his wife is filing for divorce and will walk away with hundreds of millions of dollars and that isn’t even including any of the assets that she is destined to walk away with. Unsure as to who the children will go to but I will assume that custody will either be joint or solely to the mother. Either way those kids are set for life despite having their mother and father split up. I wonder how he can continue his relationship with one of the women when he knew full well that it would be the end of his marriage. How could he do that to his children? His wife was willing to play happy families for the childrens sake and then he goes off and does that, he deserves to lose everything and no wonder the sponsors have started pulling away from him, what a jerk.

What i can not believe is that there are still some people who are actually surprised that tiger woods’ wife has left him and taken the children with her and is planning on divorce proceedings having already made appointments with a very prominent divorce lawyer. If they had been happily married all of this time and he had slipped up once then maybe then it would be at least a little surprising that she left him but it is not like that at all! Isn’t the current affair count sitting up at 14 women at the moment? Good on her for leaving him, he has cheated so many time and they were some serious affairs that were lasting for years not just one night stands. He deserves to be alone and he deserves to suffer. Isn’t it expected that she would leave after so many affairs? He has that much money though that it won’t really matter him because even though she will be taking a huge chunk of his money he still has well and truly enough money to live on for the rest of his life.

There is nothing that Tiger Woods can say to defend himself when it comes to all of this. If it was just one affair then he could probably have come up with an excuse for it all and gotten off relatively lightly, even if he had two misstresses he probably still could have pulled it off, but he has had 14 women, countless times each, some he has been in actual relationships, one has lasted for years, that is like a whole secret double life with the other woman, she followed him to australia just recently, that's more than just a sexual relationship. There is no way you can make yourself look good still or even save face when you are busted having slept with fourteen other women whilst you are married with children. He deserves everything bad that comes his way. On the other hand at least his infidelity has helped out those other celebrities who have been shrouded in the scandals of affairs lately, they can take the focus off of themselves by pointing out to their husband or wife that tiger woods had fourteen affairs, they only had one...

The whole scandal involving tiger woods and his many mistresses has been going on for weeks now and even now we are still finding out more and more about it and it does not seem to be getting any easier for him. He has lost more sponsors and he has also lost the job of hosting something that was important but i can not remember what it was lol. I have to admit that i do kind of find it all a little funny despite how sorry i feel for his wife and his children. I find it funny because although he is famous, tiger woods has always been such a private kind of person who we knew was a golfing great who was married with children but that is pretty much all that we really knew about him and then all of a sudden this whole other side to the pro golfer is exposed in the most public of ways, mr quiet and innocent and perfect turns out to only be one of those things, quiet, he isn’t perfect and sure as hell he isn’t innocent. How the mighty fall.

His wife may be sad for a while at the end of her marriage but it was probably a long time coming, who knows maybe she even had a fair idea about the affairs all along and just tried to live with it for the sake of their children or maybe she knew about some that were in the past and he had promised that he would not have another affair ever again and she was silly enough to believe him so when she found out that he had lied to her all along she flew into a frezy, hey do you blame her? I sure as buggery don’t. Once she overcomes the hurt and heartache that she is feeling and settles back into a normal daily routine in life she will have nothing to frown about, she will be rich after the divorce goes through and she is a beautiful woman so she doesn’t need to worry about money or finding another man to replace tiger. Her and her children will be just fine without him.

I don’t feel sorry for tiger woods one single bit but i do pity his poor wife and family for what he has put them through. It would be devastating enough for your husband to have that many affairs but it would be even worse for it to be such a highly publicised high profile thing plastered all over the media all over the world. He should have seen this coming from the start. I doubt that there are any famous people who have had affairs and have managed to get away with it without any one finding out, eventually the person you are having an affair with will get mad at you for something, usually for the married person dumping them bringing the affair to an end get upset and decide that the ultimate revenge is to either blackmail the married celebrity forcing them to pay for the silence of the mistress or lover or to just reveal the indiscressions to the magazine or television show that will pay them the most money. That’s just the way it goes and it is something that he should have known was going to happen sooner or later, especially with so many women adding the notches to his belt.
