I really do wish that they would hurry up and sort all of this out, it has so far proven to be nothing but a trouble maker which has caused pretty much nothing other than a huge amount of confusion amongst poker players all over the world, online poker forums have been bombarded with people trying to figure out what is happening to the online poker industry and no one in the governement seems to want to tell us what is going on, hopefully there will be a resolution in sight in the near future because waiting for them to sort themselves out is becoming rather painful for online poker players and online casinos alike.

Yes they really do need to get all of this sorted out because it is a whole lot of hassle for the American Population who like to play poker online, it has made so many people question whether they are allowed to play their poker online anymore or not, and there is not real wrong or right answer at the moment because it all seems to be up in the air, i am glad that they were granted a six month extension though because once that hearing comes around hopefully everyone will have finally come to an agreement on the future of playing poker online in the USA.

I think that the online gambling industry probably has suffered from a decrease in the money they get in and the number of players that they have registered at their online gambling sites because of all of the confusion over the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act and the lack of disclosure that was given to the general public. No doubt there would be a fair few players in the United States of America who have stopped playing poker online and other gambling games because they think that it is now illegal when it actually isn't illegal in all states but only in some and the UIGEA is about banking anyway.

Although the hearing was held and an extension was given for the D day of the UIGEA is there actually any plans in the near future for another hearing or a debate or something to be held in order to help out with the definition and the fine print of the act? There are plenty of americans who are nothing but severely confused about whether or not they can play poker online anymore because of all of the publicity and drama over the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement act and it is not a rare occurance to find forums with people trying to find out if they are participating in an illegal activity or not and it is all because of the lack of communication between the governemnt and the public on this issue in my opinion.

You are right there. It does feel as thought the governemnt is sitting there having its conversations and making these laws and regulations and acts and passing things left right and centre whilst the rest of us are sitting here at our computers playing our online poker not even knowing what is happening to the game that we all enjoy so much. They don't really seem to be reliable when it comes to communication, there is a severe breakdown in communication between the government and the community, we seem to get left in the dark completely on a fair few issues right up until the end and then we are left looking like deer in the headlights.
