The fights that happen at the clubs and pubs is why i do not go to them anymore. I have drinks at home with a few friends who i know can handle their drinks and don’t get violent. Even the bouncers on the doors at these clubs have to be real careful because it is pretty common for them to have some drunken idiot try to take them on because the bouncer turns them down and won’t let them enter the club because they are too drunk. It doesn’t help much though because these bouncers do the right thing and refuse them entry but then the drunks usually pick a fight with the bouncer or another person nearby or just head off and try another club or pub until they find one that will let them in. These clubs that let these really drunk people in or don’t cut people off from the drinks when they are obviously heavily intoxicated need to be pulled into line and punished for failing to take action against these people, these clubs only add to the problems because the drunks know that if they get kicked out of one place or refused entry at one place for being too drunk that they can just head off to one of those places instead to get more drinks and then they get absolutely loaded and think they are invincible and that they can take down anyone that they want to, and they usually try to. Poker isn’t the kind of place that anyone should even be overly drunk but some people just don’t deserve to even know the game, these people are a good example.

It is disgusting how the slightest bit of competition has the ability to bring out the worst in some people. Remember how back in the day it was a fun event for the whole family to go out and watch the little league baseball and watch their kids play, with parents being proud to just see their child on the field and not really care about whether their childs team was winning or now? Well it isn’t like that anymore at all in some places. Some parents have an ugly competitive streak and treat their children like they are pro players or something like that, expecting a win instead of hoping for one. The parents get angry at the referees when they are in the stands and yell abuse, other parents from the other team chip in and before you know it these poor kids are watching their parents getting into brawls in the stands over a game for children. It is disgusting. Poker is definitely not to blame for the actions of these violent morons, the best we can do is try to keep them out from the game and show everyone that we are not like that at all.
