Whilst i do guess that realistically there are some pro poker players who originally got into poker purely for the financial aspect of it i would have to say that the majority of professional poker players actually got into the game because it was something that they enjoyed and the money was just an added bonus on top of something that they already loved to do. The game has heaps of qualities that make it so good to play, it’s a challenge and the game is different every single time you play it, you put your skills up against those of another person, it is true competition in every sense of the word and that is what most players love to play it for. It’s not all about cash.

Even if these pro poker players were in it for the money what is wrong with that? Singers hold concerts and make millions of dollars in concerts and just as much if not more in album sales and dvds, actors and actresses make multi millions from staring in tv shows and movies and they all get paid great money for so much as pictures of them and this new born children or a wedding snap which they sell off to the highest paying magazine, they make plenty of money from doing what they do best, what their field of expertise is, obviously for actors and actresses this is acting and for singers it is singing so why should the poker pros get so much hassle for getting paid for what they expertise in? They are professionals at poker, they should get paid for what they do best.

You are right there, i hope people who are against the poker players who make it big and get rich read that and finally get a clue. These people would be annoyed if they worked their way up from average or less than average lifestyles and bank accounts and worked hard from scratch to get themselves a great bank account balance and lifestyle and then have people complain that they didn’t deserve it. Some people that win lottery don’t deserve it, they waste it like they don’t care and they don’t really deserve it and that can be understood that people say they don’t deserve that money but when it comes to any kind of professional including pro poker players, if they have built their way up from scratch and done all the hard work themselves to get to where they are today then they deserve every cent they have no matter what anyone says, they worked hard for that money and they can do what ever they please with it.

Poker players are some of the greatest people you can ever meet. Many of the poker players that are on a professional level are rather down to earth and wonderful humble people. They aren’t the type that go around flaunting themselves passing them selves off as being better than everyone else. They are nice people and they don’t let their money or their status go to their heads which is much more than what can be said for actors, actresses and singers and even some very prominent sporting identities. Poker has helped many different charities out over the years. And these players deserve recognition and incentive for their abilities when it comes to the poker table, they work for their money just like anyone else does and they work hard, just because they enjoy what they do to get paid doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve to get paid or that the work isn’t hard.
